What is Connect Kashmir?
Connect Kashmir is a youth empowerment and education initiative from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, powered by Kashmeta (SMC-PVT) Limited.
Our mission is to provide displaced and crisis-affected youth with access to safe, quality education using Virtual Reality (VR), Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital learning platforms.
We began with awareness programs in IT, freelancing, AI, and startups across AJK. But as conflicts and global crises forced thousands of young people out of schools, we expanded our work into building immersive, remote learning solutions ensuring that education continues even when schools are destroyed, unsafe, or closed.
Connect Kashmir is a nation-building initiative of Azad Kashmir with one goal:
to ensure no young person is deprived of education because of conflict, displacement, or crisis.
By combining education with immersive technologies and digital skills training, we prepare youth not only to recover lost learning but also to thrive in the global digital economy.
- Recognized nationally by Government of Pakistan and Internationally by Commonwealth Organization for our impact in youth empowerment and digital skills.

What specific problem are you trying to solve?
According to UNICEF and Pakistan’s Ministry of Education, millions of children and youth in Pakistan remain out of school due to conflict, poverty, and repeated crises. The Education under Attack 2022 report noted that schools in conflict-prone regions of Pakistan have been repeatedly targeted, leaving classrooms unsafe and inaccessible.
In Azad Jammu & Kashmir and border areas, recurring tensions, security challenges, and lack of infrastructure have disrupted education for thousands of students. Beyond conflict, the COVID-19 pandemic forced over millions of students out of schools.
Our initiative aims to ensure that displaced and crisis-affected youth in Azad Jammu & Kashmir can gain access to quality schooling from the safety of their homes by leveraging Virtual and Extended Reality (VR/XR).
