The State of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has excessive Youth unemployment as compare to other region and
provinces. Youth empowerment can lessen the rate of poverty of AJK to a large level. One of the keys to
empowering the youth is with skill development. When a youth is equipped with essential skills, he/she
can utilize them to feed, assist others, and even invest it for future use, aiding the peoples of Azad
Jammu & Kashmir economically.
The total population of Azad Kashmir is about 4 Million in which the Youth Population is approx. 2.55
Million (1.25 Million Males and 1.3 Million Females) and in these 4 Million, about 1000 peoples are
earning money online by providing their freelance digital services and around 100000 peoples are
interested in online earning or freelancing according to the data on Social media.
Nothing of greatness can ever be achieved by Azad Jammu & Kashmir without giving importance to their
youth. Youth is an amazing thing because it is not only the hope of our future but the actual strength of
our nation as well. Kashmiri youth can create a difference only when they are empowered. An
empowered youth is the one who learns to work on developing their skills to start earning at an early
age. The importance of youth empowerment can never be denied because youth is the base of any
nation. Peoples of Azad Kashmir can never achieve the heights of success if its youth is lacking behind.
So we launched a youth empowerment organization “Connect Kashmir” and our main mission is to
connect the youth of Azad Jammu & Kashmir to the Digital World and help them to create million of
dollars by providing their digital freelance services and we are helping Kashmiris toward organizational
success, engaging on the world largest freelancing platforms and becoming high achievers. A society
will be secured enough when your youth is empowered because an empowered youth will never give
any harm to the society in which they are living. Youth empowerment creates a sense of responsibility
and leadership skills in our youth due to which they can feel and identify the actual practical problems of
the society from which many people are suffering.
They no more wait for the high authorities to come and sort out the problem instead they take some
practical steps to solve the problem on their own. An empowered youth is always passionate and
dedicated towards their work and their society and they always dare to do something big for the
betterment of society. This is one of the first and the foremost reason that youth empowerment is the
need of today’s society. A country or region can never prosper if the poor become poorer and the rich
become richer.
